JALALABAD, Afghanistan, May 8 (NNN-ANA) – Four persons have been confirmed dead and four others injured, as the roof of a mud house caved-in, in Chaparhar district of the eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, the state-run news agency Bakhtar reported, yesterday.
The incident took place following heavy rain in Chaparhar district, on Friday night, leaving four dead, including a woman and three children, as well as, four more children injured.
In war-torn Afghanistan, residential houses in the countryside are mostly made of mud and often damaged during torrential rains.
Heavy rains and flooding have claimed the lives of about 30 people and injured some 40 others across the country over the past week.– NNN-ANA
