KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 1,278 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,454,113, according to the health ministry.
There are three new imported cases, with 1,275 being local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.
A further two deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,569.
The ministry reported 2,599 new recoveries, bringing the total number of the cured and discharged to 4,391,090.
There are 27,454 active cases, 66 are being held in intensive care and 36 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
The country reported 11,121 vaccine doses administered yesterday, and 85.1 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 81.9 percent are fully vaccinated and 49.1 percent have received boosters.– NNN-BERNAMA
