KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 922 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,451,781, according to the health ministry.
There is one new imported case and 921 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.
A further nine deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,564.
The ministry reported 5,520 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,384,384.
There are 31,833 active cases, with 69 being held in intensive care and 46 in need of assisted breathing.
The country reported 1,473 vaccine doses administered yesterday, and 85.1 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 81.9 percent are fully vaccinated and 49.1 percent have received boosters.– NNN-BERNAMA
