Digital Art Museum Opens In Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Apr 29 (NNN-SPA) – A digital art museum, featuring immersive experiences, opened in the Red Sea coastal city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, yesterday.

The museum, launched by the Tokyo-based art collective teamLab, comprises over 50 artworks, spreading across its expansive and labyrinthine spaces, including “Borderless World,” “Athletics Forest” and “Future Park.”

The teamLab Borderless Jeddah museum also features a new installation created exclusively for Jeddah.

In 2020, the Saudi Ministry of Culture signed a 10-year partnership with teamLab, as part of its mission to support and develop a thriving cultural ecosystem, in line with the Kingdom’s ongoing national transformation.

The teamLab Borderless museum in Tokyo, launched in 2018, welcomed 2.3 million visitors, in its first year, from over 160 countries and regions around the world.– NNN-SPA
