NEW DELHI, Apr 25 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 43,060,086 today, after 2,541 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry’s latest data.
This is the sixth consecutive day when the number of new cases breached the 2,000-mark, after lying low for the past several months.
Besides, 30 deaths due to the pandemic since yesterday morning took the total death toll to 522,223.
There are still 16,522 active COVID-19 cases in the country, a rise of 649 active cases during the past 24 hours. The number of active cases had been on the decline for the past two-and-a-half months, but started increasing in the past few days.
So far 42,521,341 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals, including 1,862 discharged during the past 24 hours.– NNN-PTI
