Japan Claims Three Golds On Third Day Of Asian Wrestling Championships

ULAN BATOR, Apr 22 (NNN-NHK) – Japan bagged three golds and a silver, from the five women’s events competed on the third day of the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships here yesterday.

In the 50kg freestyle, world champion, Remina Yoshimoto, defeated Mongolian Tsogt-Ochir Namuuntsetseg, for the gold medal. The bronze medal went to Jasmina Immaeva of Uzbekistan, after her win over Indian Manisha Manisha.

In the 55kg category, Umi Imai claimed the gold, Mongolian, Ganbaatar Otgonjargal, won the silver, and Indian Sushma Shokeen took the bronze.

Sara Natami claimed the 59kg freestyle gold. The silver and bronze medals went to Mongolian Baatarjav Shoovdor and Indian Sarita Mor, respectively.

In the 68kg category, Madina Bakbergenova of Kazakhstan won over Meerim Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan in the final. Mongolian Enkhsaikhan Delgermaa claimed the bronze medal by beating Japanese Naruha Matsuyuki.

Kyrgyzstani Aiperi Medet Kyzy took the last gold of the day, after beating Japanese Yuka Kagami in the 76kg freestyle. The bronze medal went to Gulmaral Yerkebayeva of Kazakhstan.

The 35th Asian Wrestling Championships will last until Sunday.– NNN-NHK
