TASHKENT, Apr 21 (NNN-XINHUA) – Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased 5.8 percent in the first quarter of 2022 than the same period of 2021, Uzbek State Statistics Committee said, yesterday.
According to the committee, Uzbekistan’s GDP amounted to 162.8 trillion soums (one U.S. dollar is about 11,281.80 soums).
For the same period, per capita GDP at current prices amounted to 4.6 million soums (420 U.S. dollars), an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021, it said.
Earlier this month, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Uzbekistan said that, the country’s growth was expected to slow to three to four percent in 2022, down from six percent projected earlier.– NNN-XINHUA
