KHARTOUM, Apr 20 (NNN-SUNA) – Sudan’s acting Foreign Minister, Ali Al-Sadiq, yesterday condemned Israel’s “oppressive practices” against the Palestinians at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The condemnation came, when Al-Sadiq met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Sudan, Sameer Abdul-Jabbar Taha, the Sudanese foreign ministry said in a statement.
The minister reaffirmed Sudan’s stance towards the right of the Palestinian people, in establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the statement.
The meeting focused on the current situations in the occupied Palestinian territories, following the attacks by the Israeli authorities against the Palestinians in Jerusalem, said the statement.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem, on Friday, witnessed clashes between the Israeli forces and the Palestinians, when the Jews began to celebrate their Passover holiday that coincided with the second Friday prayers of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.– NNN-SUNA
