Israel Accuses Jordan Of “Spreading Fake News” Over Clashes In Al-Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM, Apr 19 (NNN-PNA) – Israel yesterday accused Jordan of “spreading fake news,” after Jordan urged Israel to stop “illegal violations” at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, said in a video statement that, he sees “with great gravity” the praises to Palestinians, who have been clashing with Israeli police at the holy site, over the past few days.

Bennett referred to an earlier remark by Jordan’s Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, who, in a speech to parliament in Amman, praised “those who throw rocks at the pro-Zionists, who are defiling Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

“This is unacceptable,” Bennett said, condemning the Jordanian prime minister’s remarks as “a reward for inciters, led by Hamas, which is trying to incite violence in Jerusalem.”

The rare remarks came, amid a spate of violence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
