NEW DELHI, Mar 12 (NNN-PTI) – At least seven people were charred to death, after a major fire broke out in Delhi, early this morning, a senior Delhi Fire Services official confirmed.
According to the official, the fire broke out in as many as 60 huts, located near Gokalpur village, in north-east Delhi. Rescue and relief work is still going on, he added.
As many as 13 fire tenders were sent to douse the fire.
“Fire had spread to around 60 huts. So far, seven charred dead bodies have been recovered,” Delhi Fire Services chief, Atul Garg said, over the phone.– NNN-PTI
