Indian Economy Grew 5.4 Percent In Oct-Dec Quarter

NEW DELHI, Mar 1 (NNN-PTI) – India’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose 5.4 percent, in the third quarter (Oct-Dec) of the current financial year 2021-22, showed the latest data, released by the Indian government.

India’s financial year starts on Apr 1, and ends on Mar 31, of the following year.

According to India’s National Statistical Office (NSO), India’s economy grew 20.3 percent in the first quarter of this fiscal year, due to lower base effect.

In the second quarter, the GDP grew 8.5 percent.– NNN-PTI
