MANILA, Feb 10 (NNN-PNA) – Three-quarters of Filipinos expressed their approval to President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance in the last quarter of 2021, according to an independent poll released yesterday.
The Social Weather Station survey, conducted nationwide on Dec 12-16, found that 75 percent of the 1,440 adult Filipinos said, they approved of Duterte’s performance.
The poll agency said, Duterte’s net satisfaction rating reached +60, eight points higher than Sept’s result, and is classified as “very good.”
According to the pollster, 15 percent of those surveyed said, they were dissatisfied with Duterte’s performance.
Campaign for the presidential election formally kicked off in the Philippines on Tuesday, three months ahead of the May 9 voting, to choose a new president, to lead this Southeast Asian country in the next six years.
Duterte, whose six-year term ends in June, has yet to endorse any presidential candidate, but said, he started packing his personal things before handing over the presidency to the successor.– NNN-PNA
