KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 7,234 new COVID-19 cases, as of midnight, bringing the national total infections to 2,895,014, according to the health ministry.
There are 234 new imported cases and 7,000 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.
A further 11 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 32,011.
The ministry reported 5,254 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 2,799,608.
There are 63,395 active cases, 118 are being held in intensive care units and 57 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
The country reported 90,406 vaccine doses administered yesterday alone, and 79.9 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 78.8 percent are fully vaccinated and 37.5 percent have received boosters.– NNN-BERNAMA
