Singapore Reports 3,101 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Feb 3 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore reported 3,101 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the tally to 362,176.

Of the new cases, 1,366 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests, and 1,735 through ARTs (antigen rapid tests), according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the new cases, 2,919 were local transmissions and 182 were imported cases.

A total of 819 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 12 cases in intensive care units.

One death was reported from COVID-19 here yesterday, bringing the death toll to 859, the ministry said.– NNN-CNA
