SANAA, Yemen, March 24 (NNN-SABA) – The Saudi-led coalition said, it had targeted two caves in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, that the Houthi rebels used to store drone aircraft, Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television reported.
The air attack was in accordance with international law, the television said, citing a statement by the coalition.
The coalition urged civilians to stay away from the rebels’ locations.
On Friday night, the coalition war planes launched air strikes on al-Daylami air base, north of the rebel-held capital Sanaa and Estikbal military camp, on the western outskirts of Hamdan, around 20 km west of Sanaa, according to residents.
The air attacks came hours after the rebels claimed that they had shot down a U.S.-made MQ-1 drone over Hamdan.
The rebels have threatened to strike Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, if the coalition forces pushed into Hodeidah, a key sea port for the entry of most food imports and humanitarian aid.– NNN-SABA
