KABUL, Jan 9 (NNN-ANA) – A delegation of the Taliban-led caretaker government, left for neighbouring Iran yesterday, a spokesman of Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry said.
“At the invitation of Iran, a senior delegation, led by Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Mottaqi, left for Iran today (yesterday),” Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on Twitter.
According to the spokesman, the visit is aimed at holding “discussions on political, economic, transit and refugees issues, between Afghanistan and Iran.”
Earlier, a preliminary meeting for the visiting delegation was held at the Afghan Foreign Ministry, where significant issues were assessed and included in the agenda, the spokesman said.– NNN-ANA
