Jordan’s Lower House Approves Amendments To Constitution

AMMAN, Jan 7 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan’s Lower House, yesterday approved more amendments to the kingdom’s constitution, it was reported.

Lower House Speaker, Abdul Karim Dughmi, said, the house discussed with Jordan’s various players for constitutional amendments, before their approval.

The house has completed the first phase of Jordan’s political modernisation path, by endorsing 30 constitutional amendments, and will shortly begin to debate and endorse elections draft laws, which will be a milestone in Jordan’s modern history, Dughmi added.

Yesterday, the Lower House gave the green light, to the establishment of a National Security and Foreign Policy Council.– NNN-PETRA
