The IRGC did not mention the time and place of the operation, which comes as a retaliation for the killings of its two servicemen last Sunday.
The two servicemen, Mehran Shourizadeh and Mohsen Kaykhaa’i, were murdered on duty, by armed men in the south-eastern city of Zahedan, the provincial capital of Sistan and Baluchestan.
