CARACAS, March 23 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — Venezuela and South Africa are committed to boosting cooperation mechanisms for the development of efficient and low environmental impact mining technologies.
In this regard, Venezuelan Mining Development Minister Victor Cano predicted a good year for relations in this economic activity in a recent meeting with the South African ambassador in Caracas, Joseph Khehla.
At a meeting in Caracas, both representatives discussed the exchange agenda in research, production, educational relations and technology transfer, local media reported.
‘We have committed to make a great step forward in the mining relationship by 2019,’ the Minister said.
The bilateral agreements intend to strengthen the productive management in the Orinoco Arc, as well as to contribute to the linking of scientific sectors to advance in a responsible model for this activity in Venezuela.
For his part, the diplomat pointed out that the African country has institutions specialized in research, training and innovation that can support the South American country.
‘These entities are in full capacity to train, with the highest quality, Venezuelans in the field’, Khehla stated. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
