NEW DELHI, Dec 26 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 34,786,802 today, as 6,987 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, the health ministry’s latest data showed.
Besides, as many as 162 deaths, due to the pandemic were reported since yesterday morning, taking the total death toll to 479,682.
There are still 76,766 active COVID-19 cases in the country, despite a fall of 266 active cases during the past 24 hours.
A total of 34,230,354 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals so far, out of which 7,091 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the country’s Omicron tally has reached 422, out of which Maharashtra and Delhi have reported 108 and 79 cases, respectively. Till now 130 patients have been discharged after recovery, as per the Health Ministry’s data.– NNN-PTI
