KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 (Bernama) — The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), as the regulator and developer of the Malaysian accountancy profession, recently launched the Report of a Study of Emerging Technology Adoption within Accounting Programmes by Higher Learning Institutions in Malaysia (Report).The Report furthers MIA’s ongoing advocacy and initiatives for transforming accountancy education to future-proof accountancy talent.
Based on a study carried out by the Academicians Working Group (AWG) under the Digital Technology Implementation Committee of MIA, the Report addresses the future skillsets of accounting graduates in Malaysia and the incorporation of emerging technologies in the accounting programmes to ensure future relevance.
