Around 1,500 Swimmers Participate In New World Harbour Race In Hong Kong

HONG KONG, Dec 12 (NNN-XINHUA) – The “New World Harbour Race,” which was finally resumed this year, was held at the Victoria Harbour this morning, after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There were 1,500 contestants, who participated at 7.30am this morning.

The oldest, 79-year-old contestant, a woman and her daughter, participated together. There are also contestants who have participated in the competition for 10 years and expected to complete it within 20 minutes.

The men’s team started at 8.15 in the morning. Two minutes before the start of the race, all the athletes cheered. They immediately swam along the route to the finish line once the race began.
