Myanmar Lifts Stay-At-Home Order In Eight More Townships

YANGON, Dec 11 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar’s Health Ministry, yesterday announced lifting a stay-at-home order in eight more townships, as fewer COVID-19 infections were recently seen in these townships.

The stay-at-home order will be removed in townships in Magway region, Kachin, Chin, Mon and Shan states today, the announcement said.

According to the ministry’s release yesterday, Myanmar reported 274 new COVID-19 cases, with eight more deaths in the past 24 hours.

The number of COVID-19 infections has increased to 526,024, while its death toll has risen to 19,170, so far.

As of yesterday, 502,325 patients have been discharged from hospitals, and over 5.76 million samples have been tested for COVID-19.

Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 cases on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
