NEW DELHI, Dec 5 (NNN-PTI) – At least six people were killed and many more injured, in an incident of firing, in India’s north-eastern state of Nagaland, confirmed the state’s Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, today.
The incident took place late last night, in the state’s Mon district, and the death toll is feared to rise, said media reports.
“The unfortunate incident, leading to the killing of civilians at Oting, Mon district, is highly condemnable. Condolences to the bereaved families and speedy recovery of those injured,” tweeted the chief minister.
He said, high-level Special Investigation Team (SIT), will carry investigation and justice will be delivered as per the law.– NNN-PTI
