ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (NNN-APP) – Two soldiers were killed, in a check post attack in Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, an army statement said yesterday.
The terrorists, whose identities were not revealed by the statement, released by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, targeted the check post in North Waziristan district of the province, located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The attack triggered off an intense exchange of fire, in which the two soldiers were killed and no loss of life at the terrorists’ side was mentioned in the statement.
“Search of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found,” the statement added.– NNN-APP
