India To Resume Int’l Flights After 18-Month Hiatus Over COVID-19

NEW DELHI, Nov 27 (NNN-PTI) – India will resume international flights on Dec 15, after suspension of over 18 months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, media reported, yesterday.

However, 14 countries will be barred from international flights to and from India, including Britain, France, Germany, Singapore, Botswana, Netherlands, Finland, South Africa and Brazil.

The decision was reportedly taken in consultation with the health ministry.

Meanwhile, India has a travel bubble that permits a certain number of flights a week, which will continue, officials added.

The civil aviation ministry had started some special flights, to ferry Indians who got stuck in other countries, during the pandemic.– NNN-PTI
