At Least Four Killed In Twin Explosions In Afghan Capital

KABUL, Nov 18 (NNN-ANA) – At least four civilians were killed and two others wounded, in twin explosions in western part of Kabul, capital of Afghanistan yesterday, witnesses said.

“The first explosion, apparently a roadside bomb blast, hit a public mini-bus at a busy road, in Dashti Barchi neighbourhood, Police District 13, roughly at 4 ;00 p.m. local time, killing four commuters and wounding two others,” eyewitness, Sayyed Ahmad, said.

The vehicle was completely destroyed in the explosion.

The second blast occurred about 30 minutes later, in nearby Dehbori area, Police District 3, he said, adding that, the Taliban security forces have cordoned off the areas for precautionary measures.

There was no immediate report on casualties of the second explosion.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet.

Dominated by the minority Shiite Muslims, the neighbourhood has been the scene of bomb explosions, which targeted public places and vehicles, in recent years. The Daesh affiliated militants, claimed responsibility for majority of the attacks.

On Saturday, three people were killed and several others wounded, in a bomb attack which hit a mini-bus also in Dashti Barchi.– NNN-ANA
