DHAKA, Bangladesh, March 20 (NNN-BSS) – A three-day BASIS SoftExpo, Bangladesh’s biggest showcase for software products, is underway in the capital, Dhaka.
Hundreds of national and international IT companies are showcasing their products and services in this mega annual event – the 15th BASIS SOFTEXPO 2019.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the ICT sector platform, in association with the ICT Division, jointly organised the expo.
The gathering of ICT companies, personalities, key policy makers, industry leaders and other ICT stakeholders, is aimed at showcasing IT and ITES products and services in Bangladesh, BASIS President, Syed Almas Kabir, said.
Bangladeshi Post, Telecommunications and ICT Minister, Mustafa Jabbar, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, while State Minister for Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, attended as special guest.
BASIS has been organising the annual mega event BASIS SOFTEXPO since 2003.
According to the organisers, the largest regional technological event will focus on creating more collaborative relationships at national and international level, inviting trade delegations from various countries to experience the immense potentials of Bangladeshi ICT industry.
They said, scores of national and international speakers have been sharing their thoughts in different sessions, on the sidelines of the expo.– NNN-BSS
