Vietnam Logs 7,504 New COVID-19 Cases

HANOI, Nov 6 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam reported 7,504 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, including 7,487 locally transmitted and 17 imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

Most of the community cases were detected in southern localities, including 953 in Dong Nai province, 917 in Binh Duong province, and 912 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The new infections brought the country’s total tally to 953,547, with 22,412 deaths, the ministry said.

Nationwide, as many as 837,347 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, up 1,941 from Thursday, while over 86 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered, according to the ministry.

As of yesterday, Vietnam has registered a total of 948,646 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, since the start of the current wave in late Apr, the ministry said.– NNN-VNA
