YANGON, Nov 4 (NNN-MNA) – Over 7.39 million people in Myanmar had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Tuesday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health, yesterday.
Meanwhile, over 6.08 million people had received the first jabs of COVID-19 vaccines as of Tuesday, the release said.
Myanmar reported 955 new COVID-19 cases with 16 more deaths yesterday.
The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 502,979, while the death toll has reached 18,744 as of yesterday, the release said.
A total of 472,364 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 4.93 million samples have been tested for COVID-19, so far.
Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 cases on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
