Saudi Arabia, Spain To Promote Tourism Cooperation

RIYADH, Oct 28 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia and Spain agreed yesterday, to promote tourism cooperation during the fifth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII), held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The consensus was reached during a meeting between Saudi Tourism Minister, Ahmed Al Khateeb, and Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Maria Reyes Maroto, on the sidelines of the event.

The two sides agreed to make joint efforts to redesign tourism in the post COVID-19 era, with the coordination of the World Tourism Organisation, calling for strong leadership and coordination to bring governments and private sector partners together.

Both countries agreed to deepen their cooperation to promote sustainability, and collaborate in digital transformation and training of the workforces.

Themed “Invest in Humanity,” FII attracts more than 2,000 missions and 5,000 company leaders, policymakers, investors and innovators from across the world, aiming to discuss ways to invest in clean water, education, public health, gender equality and fighting poverty.– NNN-SPA
