CHARIKAR, Afghanistan Oct 24 (NNN-BIA) – A total of 336 households have received solar power panels over the past four days, in the eastern Parwan province, it was reported, yesterday.
“After a precise survey, each family received one solar panel along with all equipment to keep their houses bright, in Bagaram district of the parwan province,” the news agency said.
Lack of power has been viewed as one of the basic problems of residents in Qala-e-Nasro area of Bagaram district in the province, and the challenge has now been overcome with the efforts of the local authorities in the past four days.
The effort to help the locals light up their houses came, amid a militants attack on a pylon outside Kabul on Thursday, which plunged the capital city into darkness. The authorities have yet to restore power supply to the area.– NNN-BIA
