Blast In Afghanistan’s Khost Province Kills One, Wounds 17

KHOST, Afghanistan, Oct 7 (NNN-ANA) – One person has been confirmed dead and 17 others were injured, as an explosive device went off at a religious school, in Khost city, capital of eastern Khost province yesterday, a provincial official said today.

The official, Mawlawi Mohammad Sabir Sabari, said, the blast took place in Mazharul Alum Madrasa (Mazharul Alum religious school), late yesterday, leaving one student dead and injuring 17 others.

He said that, a student was busy dismantling a mine, when the device exploded and inflicted the casualties, adding that, the injured were in stable condition.– NNN-ANA
