1,000 Kg Of Narcotics Seized In Central Myanmar

YANGON, Oct 2 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar authorities seized 1,000 kilograms of narcotic drugs worth 18 billion kyats (over 9.3 million U.S. dollars), in central Mandalay region, state media reported today.

A combined team of anti-drug task force, confiscated 800 kilograms of Methamphetamine (ICE) and 200 kilograms of Ketamine, from a 12-wheeled container truck, in Amarapura township on Sept 29.

According to the investigations, the drugs were transported from Hsipaw township of Shan state, the report said.

Two suspects, including the truck driver, were charged under the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.– NNN-MNA
