International Festival Of World Epics Kicks Off In Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Sept 25 (NNN-XINHUA) – The 6th International Festival of World Epics, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence, opened in Bishkek on Thursday.

A round table and a scientific and practical symposium are held, as part of the festival, where the epic traditions of the peoples around the world will be discussed in detail, as a result of which, the participants will adopt a resolution.

At another part of the festival, various contests are held in the ethnographic village in Bishkek, including contests for the best yurt (a circular tent of felt or skins), the best narration of the Manas epic and the best modern nomadic fashion.

The festival, which runs until today, are attended by representatives from more than 20 countries of the world.

The International Festival of World Epics was first launched in 2006, as one of the innovative ways to preserve the world’s epic heritage.– NNN-XINHUA
