JERUSALEM, Sept 5 (NNN-PNN) – Israel’s Ministry of Health yesterday reported 9,739 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally of infections in the country to 1,112,744.
The ministry also reported 31 new deaths from the virus, taking the death toll to 7,153, while the number of patients in serious condition increased from 667 to 677, the ministry said.
The total recoveries from the virus climbed to 1,014,841 after 12,493 newly recovered cases were recorded, while active cases decreased to 90,750, it added.
The number of people who have received the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Israel surpassed 6.01 million, or 64.4 percent of its total population, while over 5.5 million have taken two doses and over 2.57 million have got three jabs.– NNN-PNN
