Iran Reports 27,621 New COVID-19 Cases, 5,083,133 In Total

TEHRAN, Sept 4 (NNN-IRNA) – The Iranian Health Ministry reported yesterday, 27,621 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total infections to 5,083,133.

The pandemic has so far claimed 109,549 lives in the country, after 561 new deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, according to a briefing, published by Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education, on its official website.

A total of 4,302,011 people have recovered from the disease or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 7,795 remain in intensive care units, the ministry said, on its official website.

By yesterday, 19,297,582 people have received at least a dose of a coronavirus vaccine in the country, while 9,407,311 have taken two doses.

The official report adds that, 29,227,907 tests have so far been carried out across the country.– NNN-IRNA
