Road Mishap Claims 11 Human Lives In West India

NEW DELHI, Aug 31 (NNN-PTI) – As many as 11 people died and seven injured, in a road accident in India’s western state of Rajasthan early today, confirmed a local police.

The mishap occurred when a jeep carrying 18 people, collided with a heavy vehicle coming from the opposite direction, in the state’s Nagaur district.

Those dead and injured were from the country’s central state of Madhya Pradesh. They were returning home after visiting a temple in Rajasthan, said the local police.

The injured were admitted to a local government hospital.

Rajasthan state Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, expressed condolences at the loss of lives in the accident.

“The loss of 11 human lives is very sad. My condolences are with the families of the dead.”– NNN-PTI
