JERUSALEM, Aug 27 (NNN-PNN) – Israel’s Ministry of Health, yesterday, reported 8,800 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total tally of infections in the regime to 1,024,100.
The death toll from the virus rose by one to 6,909, while the number of patients in serious condition decreased from 688 to 680, the ministry said.
The total recoveries from the virus climbed to 937,942, after 2,428 newly recovered cases were recorded, while active cases increased to 79,249, it added.
The number of people who have received the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine surpassed 5.93 million, or 63.6 percent of its total population, while nearly 5.46 million have taken two doses and over 1.77 million have got three jabs.– NNN-PNN
