Palestinian Man Succumbs To Injury Sustained In Protest Against Israel

GAZA, Aug 26 (NNN-WAFA) – A 32-year-old Palestinian man, named Osama Id’eih, died in hospital, due to a critical injury he sustained during protests against Israeli soldiers, near the borders between Israel and eastern Gaza Strip, official said yesterday.

The announcement was made in a statement by Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry, run by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Last Saturday, medics said that, 41 Palestinians were injured by Israeli soldiers’ gun fires, in a demonstration organised by the Palestinian factions.

After declaring the death of the man, Hamas said, in a press statement that, it will carry on with popular protests, adding that, “the Palestinian people’s resistance against Israel will continue by all means in all the Palestinian territories.”

The statement also said that, “all options of resistance are open to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation, to lift the tight siege that has been imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2007.”– NNN-WAFA
