Jordan Approves Transit Of 2,500 Afghans To U.S.

AMMAN, Aug 24 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan said yesterday, it agreed on the transit of 2,500 Afghans through its territories, to the United States.

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Deifallah Fayez, said in a statement that, the decision was made for “pure humanitarian reasons,” to contribute to addressing the repercussions of the crisis in Afghanistan.

The official stressed that, a deal with the United States has already been made, to arrange the transit of these Afghans through Jordan.– NNN-PETRA
