Impactful Discoveries In Digital Health, Precision Medicine And Clinical Research Advances Despite Pandemic Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) — The 14th National Conference for Clinical Research (NCCR) was officiated earlier today by the Director-General of Health Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah. The three-day virtual conference, which began yesterday, was organised by the Association of Clinical Registries, Malaysia (ACRM). This prestigious event is supported by the Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) from the National Institutes of Health Malaysia and its strategic partnership with Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM).

Themed “Niche to Norm”, this year’s conference highlights research advancements in precision medicine, clinical trials, and digital health. With 900 delegates attending, the conference features clinical research developments occurring in Malaysia and globally. The conference this year will also focus on the rapid growth research areas and the NCCR programme initiatives such as vaccine development, diagnostics, digital solutions, and adaptive trial designs. Thus far, the 14th NCCR has received almost 200 scientific abstracts eligible for the prestigious Dr. Wu Lien-Teh’s Young Investigator Research Awards, which will be announced on the final day of the conference.
