JERUSALEM, Aug 19 (NNN-PNN) – Israel’s Ministry of Health reported 7,870 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the tally of infections in the regime to 962,193.
The death toll from the virus rose by 24 to 6,723, while the number of patients in serious condition rose from 579 to 600.
The number of active cases increased to 59,218, while total recoveries from the virus climbed to 896,252, after 5,262 newly recovered cases were added, the ministry said.
The number of people who have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine reached nearly 5.87 million, or 62.9 percent of its total population, while over 5.4 million have taken two doses, and nearly 1.17 million have got the third dose.– NNN-PNN
