Nigeria Air Force eliminates 3 notorious bandits’ leaders in Zamfara state; 45 other bandits eliminated

ABUJA, Aug 18 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Three notorious bandits have been killed during airstrikes by the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) in Zamfara State.

Naija News understands the airstrikes that eliminated the bandits’ leaders were carried out in the Kuyanbana area of the state.

The leaders killed were identified as Habu Nabayye, Isuhu Sadi, and Murtala Danmaje.

A security source quoted on the matter by PR Nigeria revealed that apart from the bandits’ leaders, over 45 other terrorists were eliminated during the aerial bombardment of the forest by NAF jets.

According to the source, “The bandits’ kingpins who had continually terrorized innocent citizens in Zamfara state were among the over 45 killed by Nigerian Air Force airstrikes, under Operation Hadarin Daji recently.

“The kingpins eliminated at a gathering by the airstrikes include Habu Nabayye, Isuhu Sadi, and Murtala Danmaje.

“Some locals expressed gratitude over the continuous airstrikes in the axis which have greatly improved security in the area.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday hold a security meeting with the nation’s service chiefs and heads of security agencies.

This was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by the President’s spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu which noted that the meeting will hold at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

By Thursday, President Buhari will have emerged from the COVID-19 self-isolation which began after he returned last week Friday from the United Kingdom where he participated in an education summit and also saw his doctors.

According to Shehu, Buhari will receive briefings from the security chiefs on the activities of the military and security agencies in tackling terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and all other criminals in the country. — NNN-AGENCIES
