DHAKA, Aug 15 (NNN-BSS) – Bangladesh reported 6,885 new COVID-19 cases and 178 new deaths yesterday, making the tally at 1,412,218, and death toll at 23,988, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The official data showed that, 33,330 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, as of 8:00 a.m. local time yesterday.
The total number of recovered patients in the country stood at 1,281,327, including 7,805 new recoveries, said the DGHS.
According to the official data, the COVID-19 fatality rate in Bangladesh is now 1.70 percent, and the current recovery rate is 90.73 percent.– NNN-BSS
