PETALING JAYA, Selangor, Aug 12 (Bernama) — Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), through the Electrical & Electronics Productivity Nexus (EEPN), is embarking on the MyReskill IoT Programme to assist the industry in productivity improvements through digitalisation. This programme is significant to the current needs as digitalisation is no longer an option, but a must-have tool for businesses to survive the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, this programme aims to train and reskill the existing workforce so they will remain relevant to the industry.
Dato’ Abdul Latif Hj. Abu Seman, the Director General of MPC, voiced previously that “The Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to touch every aspect of the value chain and, in doing so, improve productivity in each of those areas. Businesses can utilise the huge amounts of data collected from IoT devices in an incredible number of ways, and this attribute makes the IoT so beneficial for industries. The improvements made will hopefully contribute to improve Malaysia’s performance in the ‘use of digital tools and technologies’ indicator measured in the World Competitiveness ranking”.
