New Zealand Reports Three Cases Of COVID-19 In Managed Isolation Facilities

WELLINGTON, Aug 10 (NNN-AGENCIES) – New Zealand reported three cases of COVID-19, in recent returnees in managed isolation facilities, and no new cases in the community today.

The three newly imported cases came from Singapore and Australia, and have remained in managed isolation and quarantine facilities in Auckland, according to the Ministry of Health.

Today’s total tally of cases includes the 11 previously reported cases, aboard the ship Rio De La Plata, which have officially been added to the database, said the ministry.

One previously reported case has now recovered, with the number of active cases in New Zealand at 37, and the total number of confirmed cases is 2,546, the statement said.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is four, it said.– NNN-AGENCIES
