RIYADH, Aug 9 (NNN-SPA) – The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco), announced yesterday, a 288-percent increase, in its net income in the second quarter of 2021.
The company’s financial results reveal a net income of 25.5 billion U.S. dollars, in the quarter, compared with 6.6 billion dollars a year ago.
And the net income for the first half of this year hit 47.2 billion dollars, up by 103 percent, year on year, the report said.
The results were primarily driven by higher oil prices, and a recovery in worldwide demand, supported by the global easing of COVID-19 restrictions, vaccination campaigns, stimulus measures and accelerating activity in key markets, the company said.– NNN-SPA
