AMMAN, Aug 4 (NNN-PETRA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan yesterday expressed thanks to Saudi Arabia, for its support to Jordan in face of various challenges.
The king made the remarks, during a meeting in Amman with Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, during which he stressed the two countries stand together, in the face of various challenges, the Royal Hashemite Court said.
King Abdullah expressed appreciation of Saudi Arabia’s support for Jordan, in the face of various challenges, including the recent “sedition” that Jordan nipped in the bud.
The king said, Saudi Arabia’s messages of support are reflection of its leadership’s policy, to stand by Jordan in all circumstances.
Highlighting the strength of the Jordan-Saudi ties, in the face of skepticism and speculation, the Jordanian king asked the minister to convey his greetings to the Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
For his part, Prince Faisal conveyed the Saudi king’s greetings to the Jordanian king, while underlining the brotherly ties between the two countries and the need to bolster coordination and cooperation on regional issues.– NNN-PETRA
