HANOI, Jul 30 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam recorded 7,594 new cases of COVID-19 infections yesterday, including 7,593 locally transmitted and one imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.
The new infections brought the total tally to 128,413, with at least 630 deaths, the ministry said.
Among the community cases, 4,592 were reported in the southern epicentre, Ho Chi Minh City, 1,144 in the nearby southern Binh Duong province, and 499 in the southern Long An province.
As many as 31,780 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, up 4,323 from Wednesday, while over 5.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide, according to the ministry.
As of yesterday, Vietnam has registered a total of 126,205 domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 124,635 detected since the start of the latest outbreak, in late Apr, the ministry said.– NNN-VNA
